Transparent pipe joint safety shields allow operators to inspect flange connections and identify leaks or deposits without removing the shield. They are particularly useful for neutral-pH fluids, where pH indicators may not change colour. Select shields based on pipe bore, flange class, connection geometry, operating pressure, temperature and chemical compatibility. Flange class alone does not determine shield performance. Safety shields help contain or redirect hazardous spray-outs but do not prevent gasket failure or replace inspection and maintenance.
